Thanet Sports Awards 2016

Nominations are now live – Friday 5 August

The long anticipated wait to nominate your sporting champions is over.

The annual event is taking place on Thursday 17 November at the Winter Gardens in Margate and is organised by Thanet District Council’s Sports Matters team, and supported by various organisations from the public, private and voluntary sector.

The event now in its eigth year aims to reward and celebrate the outstanding achievements from our community clubs, coaches and volunteers who have excelled during the last 12 months.

All nominations are scored by a panel of members involved in local and regional sport, winners and highly commended are scored and selected following a set scoring criteria, so remember its about the quality of your nomination rather than the quantity!

With 9 award categories up for grabs this year, this is a great opportunity to reward an individual, group, school or club for their continuous hard work in driving sport and physical activity in Thanet.
