Swimming FAQs

How much does it cost?

PAYG swimming prices vary depending on which session your are booking. The price of pool sessions the can be viewed online using our Live Better app or by visiting our website and using "Search & Book", searching and selecting your session. All swimmers need a paid booking or booking as part of a valid membership.

Live Better memberships have swimming included in their subscriptions. You can view memberships and join online here. Live Better memberships are great value and could save you money vs. PAYG swimming depending on usage.

Can I come swimming anytime?

We operate on a pre-booking system for swimming sessions. This has had lots of positive feedback from customers as it has reduced long wait times to access the pools during busy periods. See below for information on pre-booking sessions.

How do I book swimming?

Members and non-members can book activities online using our Live Better app or web using "Search & Book". You will need to create an account first to access booking via the Live Better app.

Why do I need to book sessions online?

First, it's so that you know you have a space rather than getting to the centre and being disappointed by a "session now full" sign as pool sessions, classes and some other sessions, have capacity limits. It also means that long queues are a thing of the past. Booking in advance ensures we know who is in our centres and can create safer spaces. You can book in-centre on the day but there may not be any spaces.

Can I cancel a pool booking?

Yes. You can cancel a booking using the Live Better app under "My Bookings" or in the account area of the online booking system up to 60 minutes prior to an activity session commencing. If you are unable to cancel in advance using the app or online, you can email CST@yourlesiure.uk.com with your details and the Customer Support Team can update your account or you can call CST on 03333 660661 and leave a voicemail to have the booking removed.

Online it states session is "Full", will there be spaces on the door?

Unfortunately, all space availability is online, due to health and safety once fully booked we cannot take any further bookings for that session on the door or by phone.

Do I need to pay for under 0-15 year olds?

Yes. All users of the pool need to pay for a slot (or a booking as part of a membership) to manage capacity.

Do you sell swimming items such as goggles, arm bands and trunks/costumes?

Yes, our centres have a retail section which sells a range of swimming apparel and items. Check in-centre for stock.

Does the pool/class/gym programme change for Bank Holidays?

Yes. The Bank Holiday programme will see revised pool, class and activity timetables and gym times as well as no course lessons. You can check all activity session times, and availability and book online or using the Live Better app.

Do you have lockers?

Yes. Lockers are available in changing rooms for customers to use. Lockers require a 20p coin.

Blue Wave lockers work using a £1 coin that is refunded after use.          

When booking "Open Swim" online there are lanes, why?

This is just a function in the online system, select any lane option when booking an Open Swim session and it will count as an Open Swim booking.

Do you have baby change facilities?

Yes. Baby change units are available in our changing rooms.
