The Next Gen Coaching project has started.

The Next Gen Coaching project is aimed at supporting young people to gain the skills and experience they need to begin a career in the sports and leisure industry. Your Leisure, Inclusive Sport and TSC Coaching are working together with funding and support from Kent Sport and Street Games in order to increase access and opportunity in the Thanet District.

The project kicked off with an open day held at Hartsdown Leisure Centre, Margate, where the young people were welcomed and introduced to the organisations and given the opportunity to learn more about some of the activities they can get involved in during their time on the programme.

Sarah Johnson, Community and Funding Manager for Your Leisure said, "We are very much looking forward to working with the young people on the programme and helping to support them in reaching their goals. We are also looking forward to being able to learn more about the barriers faced by young people getting started in the industry. This is a wonderful project that's all about opportunity, and that's all some young people need, an opportunity to excel and find their pathway to success."
