Blue Wave Swimming Pool

For your enjoyment we have put together a number of different sessions that aim to assist in your enjoyment of our pools and accommodate a variety of users. Swimming sessions are open to members and non-members to be booked online. Session descriptions can be viewed via the pool timetables. All swimmers need a booking. Read Pool Admission Policy here.

Children's Pool Parties: We now offer pool party hire on Saturdays between 3-4pm! Email cst@yourleisure.uk.com for more information.

We recommend all members pre-book gym time on the app prior to arrival so you can scan and go straight in- however, you DO NOT need to pre-book. Junior members need to book in advance using the Live Better app. Non-members can book in on the day using our reception kiosks (card payment only). 

GX Aqua Classes

Blue Wave pool offers Aqua classes. Aquacise, or water-based exercise, offers a fun, low-impact way to stay fit and active while being kind to your joints. Ideal for all ages and fitness levels, aquacise helps improve cardiovascular health, muscle tone, flexibility, and balance, all while reducing strain on the body thanks to the natural support and resistance of the water. It’s especially beneficial for those recovering from injury, managing arthritis, or looking for a gentler alternative to land-based workouts. FAQs

How do I book online?

PAYG swimming prices vary depending on which session your are booking. The price of pool sessions the can be viewed online using our Live Better app or by visiting our website and using "Search & Book", searching and selecting your session. All swimmers need a paid booking or booking as part of a valid membership.

Live Better memberships have swimming included in their subscriptions. You can view memberships and join online here. Live Better memberships are great value and could save you money vs. PAYG swimming depending on usage.

How far in advanced can I book online?

Non-members can book online on a PAYG basis 5 days in advance. Members can book 8 days in advance or 14 days in advance depending on their subscription's advanced booking perk.

How can I log into the app to book?

Download the app today. Easily check all timetables and programmes. Book on the go. Manage your bookings. Stay up-to-date with member news & offers. The FIRST time using the Live Better app, you will need to log in using your registered email address and password you set on your online account. If you have not done this already, you can CLICK HERE to reset your password. You will enter your email address and receive an email with a link (link is live for 10 minutes) to set up a password. Once you have done this, you can login to the app.

NB: Please ensure when re-setting your password that there are no capital letters within or extra spaces at the end of your email address as the system is case sensitive and you may find the following error message "invalid email". For help with the app, please speak to a member of the team at the centres or contact CST@yourleisure.uk.com.

Can I cancel a booking?

Yes. Members can cancel a booking using the Live Better app under "My Bookings" or in the account area of the online booking system up to 2-hours prior to an activity session commencing. Learn more here. Non-members can cancel a PAYG booking, however, these are non-refundable. 

Can I book & pay in centre?

You can book in centre via one of our kiosks/receptions that accept cashless payment methods. However, we do recommend booking in advance. The kiosks/receptions can also be used to book up to 5 day in advance for future sessions. Please note, in-centre advance booking is 5 days, members have 8 or 14 days advanced booking perks depending on membership package, the 8 or 14 day advanced booking perk is for online or in-app booking.

Do you sell swimming items such as goggles, arm bands and trunks/costumes?

Yes, our centres have a retail section which sells a range of swimming apparel and items. Check in-centre for stock.

Do I need to pay for under 0-15 year olds?

Yes. All users of the pool need to pay for a slot (or a booking as part of a membership) to manage capacity.

Where can I view the class timetable?

The class programme can be viewed online using our Live Better app or by visiting our website and using "Search & Book".

        Live Better app: You can browse all upcoming classes in the app by clicking the "Classes" tile and selecting your centre of choice. 

        Web: On the web browser system, you can click "Search & Book" from the main menu then search for classes by selecting your centre of choice, selecting "Group Exercise" and the filter by date and time.

Do I need to book the gym?

We recommend all members pre-book gym time on the app prior to arrival so you can scan and go straight in, however, members do no need to book in advance and can book on entry. Junior members need to book in advance using the Live Better app.

Non-members can book in and pay (card payment only) on the day using our reception kiosks. 

New members will need to book a "Welcome & Discovery" induction session online for their first attendance and non-members need to book and pay online for access.

How old do I need to be to use the gym?

You can use the gym from 12 years and up, however, under 16s need to book Junior slots and hold a Junior Energize or Groove membership.

What should I wear to the gym?

When attending the gym, please wear suitable sports clothing and trainers. 

Please do not wear outdoor shoes, dress shoes, sliders, clogs, boots, flip-flops or unicorn slippers.

How do I book an induction?

New members will receive a welcome email with details on what to expect during their first visit which is called a "Welcome & Discovery" session. It's a friendly induction that will be a guide to the facilities, you'll complete some paperwork and guidance on how to get the most out of your membership subscription. You can book your "Welcome & Discovery" session using the Live Better app.

Please come dressed for the gym wearing suitable sporting attire and trainers.

Do you have lockers?

Yes. Lockers are available in changing rooms for customers to use. Lockers require a 20p coin.

Blue Wave lockers work using a £1 coin that is refunded after use.

How do I join?

You can sign up to one of our great value Live Better membership subscriptions online here.

When will I receive my membership card?

Members can collect their membership card from reception on their first visit. If you haven’t yet collected your card, then you can collect one on your next visit. Having a membership card makes it easier for members to swipe through the gates. 

How many times do I need to swipe my card on attendance?

You can swipe your card on entry and it will check you in for all booked activities scheduled during a 3-hour window of the day you swipe.

How do I reset my password?

When you joined or created an account while booking online PAYG, you should have received an email regarding setting up your online account password. You will need to follow the link in the email and set your password.

If you have not received this email, you can CLICK HERE to reset your password now and you'll receive a new email with a reset link, then you can click that (or copy and paste it into your web browser if it is not clickable - link is valid for 10 minutes) then once your password is set you will be able to LOGIN HERE. Once you have set up your online account, you will be able to book using your email and password to log into our web browser booking system or our app.

How do I cancel?


Should you be thinking of cancelling, you can contact our Customer Support Team using the ONLINE FORM HERE and selecting "Cancel my membership" or call 03333 660 661 to discuss your options.

Did you know you can freeze your membership? If you just wanted to take a break, we can pause your subscription so you can pick back right where you left off when you want to come back.

Where can I park?

Blue Wave: Customers can park in the centre car park for free during opening hours. The car park has a gate which will be locked by the centre team.

You can check information and terms of use on public car parks online at the TDC or DDC websites.
