The Tides Swim School team would like to thank and congratulate all the children who took part in the Reconnect swimming lessons. It was wonderful to welcome so many new swimmers to the centre and watch them go from apprehensive about the water to loving it within a couple of days. There were some tears to start with but it all ended with big smiles, and a newfound excitement about swimming, they couldn't wait to tell their parents what they can do.

Elaine Waddon, Tides Swim School Programme Manager, said; "A few parents said they would not be able to afford swimming lessons but they were very thankful that their child/children had this opportunity for free swimming lessons through the KCC Reconnect initiative. It's pleasing to know that these swimming lessons have gone to some children that otherwise would not be able to experience swimming lessons."
